This was evident again during Dr Yusuf Dadoo branch recent visibility mandate gathering which took place in their ward at Stone Ridge in Centurion. The event was graced by ANC Woman’s League national executive member Nozipho Makeke, Vumile Mofana, deputy secretary of Sanco in Ward 106, Cecilia Ntebatse, ANC branch secretary in Ward 48 and Madisa Mdluli, ANC branch secretary in Ward 79.
In addressing Dr Yusuf Dadoo branch members Xhati urged them to learn from the political stalwarts like John Langalibalele Dube, OR Tambo and Nelson Mandela who put the organisation first despite being marginalised by the apartheid regime.
“We can never claim freedom when leaders are suffering from egotism trends. Our leaders like Dube, Tambo and Mandela respect the organisation. It was always about the organisation not themselves. We must learn from them to advance to one purpose of emancipating our people from all forms of depression. With this spirit of unity and discipline, I put it to you that the ANC will wallop the DA and EFF in the next coming local elections without trepidation. We will achieve this also when we defuse factionalism and entitlement trends. Amandla comrades,” Xhati added.
Woman’s league NEC member, Makeke expressed her gratification about Dr Yusuf Dadoo branch comportment. “Comrades what is happening in this branch is a sign of unity and discipline. This branch continues to inspire the masses as well as other branches. They are very clear that under the leadership of Xhati and Nkosi the ANC is the only organisation that has liberated us therefore respect is potent and imperative as well. We must emulate this branch to ensure that we paint Tshwane with gold, green and black. You must continue to ensure that violence against women and children seize to exist. That also includes domestic violence. We also say women must also not be violent to their husbands and children as well,” Makeke said.
Branch chairperson Nkosi urged his comrades to accelerate the spirit of Thuma mina under the leadership ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa. “We must be united and never allow personalities to destruct us from reclaiming the glory of our glorious movement the ANC which gave birth to freedom against forces of segregation regime. We must also support one another to fight inequalities, injustices and poverty. Like comrade Xhati our secretary said it’s significant to emulate our leaders who put the ANC first against all odds,” said Nkosi who also lambasted agents of factionalism within the ANC structures.
Xhati and Nkosi commended the women’s league for its existence in Dr Yusuf Dadoo branch with its convenor Loraine Seshoka. Beauty specialist Dineo Moloi , owner of Tammy Taylor Mall @55, talented house musician and vocalist Thandi Robison known as Redpearl and hair products manufacturer Isaac Makgolane, owner of Unique Choice also graced the event.
